Kitty the Dog needs a home
Kitty is a curious dog who watches all that goes on around her. She loves food, so hand feeding meals or treats is a good way to get to know this shy girl. Kitty enjoys shy dog classes at the Sanctuary and will take treats from strangers during class. Currently, she does not like to be petted or reached for. Kitty worked hard to get comfortable being leashed, and she can now go for walks and car rides. Kitty was born in 2012 and is social with other dogs. Because she will try to run away from people when she is scared, she needs a secure and calm environment with someone who is patient and diligent in working with her shyness. Her ideal person is someone who can respect her space and give her the time she needs. She'd do best with someone who is home a lot, in a household that doesn't have a lot of foot traffic.
